Valve Heroes: Turning a Massive Pump Fix into a 5-Hour Victory!

The Big Challenge at Gialo (1)

Our team recently tackled a crucial job that keeps everything running smoothly in the oil field. As part of maintaining production systems and enhancing safe operational efficiency, they replaced the 24-inch crude oil inlet valve for the main pump (G-140) at Gialo (1) Production Station. They pulled it off successfully on Saturday, June 13, 2026.
Everyone jumped in with energy and focus. This achievement didn't happen by accident — it came from tight teamwork that made the whole process feel seamless and exciting.
Smart Planning Before the Action

First, the crews grabbed all necessary work permits and got them approved according to established regulations and procedures. They checked every piece of equipment and tool thoroughly, making sure nothing slipped through the cracks.
Next, they held a lively Safety Toolbox Talk with all participating teams. During the session, they reviewed the scope of work and the implementation plan, identified potential risks, and highlighted key preventative measures. This step built real confidence and kept safety front and center, just like best practices in the oil and gas industry demand.
Hands-On Execution That Shined

The crew dove right into the work with impressive coordination. They implemented safe mechanical isolation procedures for the equipment and pipelines, released all pressure, and drained the system completely before dismantling the old valve.

Throughout the job, teams stuck to personal protective equipment and ran continuous gas monitoring. Mechanical, Production, Electrical, Instrumentation, Field Construction, and Safety Sections worked together like a well-oiled machine. They handled preparation, isolation, dismantling, installation, and technical inspections smoothly.

Celebrating the Quick Win

Incredibly, the entire valve replacement wrapped up in just 5 hours with zero impact on production operations. The team returned the system to service and confirmed everything ran safe and stable. No accidents or injuries occurred, proving their strong commitment to safety and operational discipline.

This success highlights effective cooperation across disciplines. Sincere thanks and appreciation go to all participating teams for their outstanding efforts and high level of professionalism. What a fantastic example of how coordination turns tough jobs into smooth triumphs!
