Powering the Sands: Doosan's Desert Domination!

The Massive Win That Shook the Desert

On June 1st, Doosan Enerbility announced that it had signed a contract with the consortium consisting of Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) and Saudi Arabia’s Aramco for the “Saudi Arabia Jafurah Cogeneration Power Plant Phase 2” project. KEPCO leads development while Doosan dives in as the EPC contractor, handling everything from design to commissioning.

Moreover, this exciting project sits near the Jafurah Gas Field, 400km east of Riyadh. By 2029, it will generate 330MW of electricity and 465 tons of steam per hour to fuel the area.

Future Sparks Flying High

Doosan Enerbility’s subsidiary, Doosan Skoda Power, supplies the crucial steam turbine. “It is truly meaningful to have won the contract for Phase 2,” cheers CEO Hyeonho Lee.

Additionally, after Phase 1 success in 2022, the company strengthens its Middle East grip with massive wins like the Rumah-1, Nairyah-1, and PP12 projects. Doosan keeps charging forward with expertise!
