Smashing into Saudi Glory: Qiddiya’s National Tennis Centre Serves Up a Bright Future!

Why This Announcement Has Everyone Buzzing

Qiddiya Investment Company has announced the National Tennis Centre – a world-class sports and entertainment landmark that will position Saudi Arabia as a future hub for international tennis, elite development, local grassroots participation, and year-round community play.

Moreover, this isn’t just another fancy facility. It sits right in the heart of Qiddiya City – Saudi Arabia's capital of entertainment, sport, and culture. Locals and visitors alike feel the energy building as construction races ahead. Designers from the globally renowned sports architecture firm Populous weave dramatic layered green facades into the stunning Tuwaiq Mountains. This place pulses with ambition and transforms how people experience tennis. Families, athletes, and fans already picture themselves cheering courtside or picking up a racket for the first time.

What Makes the National Tennis Centre Truly Epic

The National Tennis Centre stands as the region’s largest tennis complex, built to ATP, WTA, and ITF standards across all courts. It features 30 courts total – 28 hard courts and two clay courts – plus multi-purpose arenas with retractable roofs for climate control.

Additionally, these venues host massive concerts and events beyond tennis. Centre Court boasts 15,000 seats, while other arenas offer 5,000 and 8,000 seats respectively. The complex integrates elite training facilities, wellness centers, and vibrant public spaces. Players train under ideal winter conditions while families enjoy community programs in activated fan zones. Next door, a Sir Nick Faldo signature 18-hole golf course opens soon, creating an unbeatable sports destination. This setup inspires future generations through the power of play and supports Saudi Vision 2030 goals.

From Local Heroes to International Stars

HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sport, highlights how the complex reflects strong leadership support. It develops tennis at every level, from grassroots kids discovering the sport to elite Saudi talent chasing professional dreams.

Furthermore, leaders like Abdullah Aldawood of Qiddiya Investment Company emphasize the “Power of Play” philosophy. They build a home where world champions compete, Saudi stars rise, and communities thrive. ITF CEO Ross Hutchins, ATP CEO Eno Polo, and Saudi Tennis Federation President Mohammed Al Sarrah all praise the project. Their quotes celebrate how quality infrastructure creates pathways for players, coaches, and fans. The centre’s High Performance Training Centre, complete with gyms, hydrotherapy, and media facilities, equips athletes for global success while keeping the venue open and welcoming to everyone.

Qiddiya City: The Ultimate Playground Taking Shape

The National Tennis Centre adds incredible momentum to Qiddiya City. Recent openings like Six Flags theme park, Aquarabia water park, and PlayMaker Studios already draw crowds.

In addition, future highlights include the Speed Park Track, Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium, a horse racing venue, gaming district, and performing arts centre. The city will grow three times the size of Paris, offering homes, offices, retail, hotels, schools, and hospitals. World-class transport links, such as high-speed rail to Riyadh in just 17 minutes, make it incredibly accessible. Qiddiya City delivers limitless opportunities to imagine, grow, escape, and thrive in a sustainable urban ecosystem.

This tennis landmark isn’t just about sports – it celebrates community, ambition, and joy. Saudi Arabia steps confidently onto the global stage, and tennis fans worldwide should mark their calendars. The future of the game looks brighter than ever!
