MANAMA, Bahrain: big news! Club Hawaii @ Bahrain Surf Park has finished filling its lagoon, a major construction milestone for this first-of-its-kind surf and leisure destination.

As a result, the 52,000 square metre site finally shows its full scale. Meanwhile, excitement keeps building ahead of the opening this year.

Thanks to Wavegarden Cove technology, the park will generate up to 1,000 waves per hour.

Consequently, nearly 90 surfers can ride every hour. Sessions suit first-timers and experienced riders alike.

Beyond the lagoon, visitors will explore the Club Hawaii Surf Academy, pools, cabanas, dining venues, and retail offerings.

Meanwhile, event spaces and family-friendly attractions keep the fun going all year.

"Seeing the lagoon come to life is an exciting moment," says General Manager Victoria Williams. Her team has poured years of planning, design, and construction into this project.

Sky's the Limit: How a Desert Kingdom Handed Flying Cars a Runway

ARIDGE, formerly XPENG AEROHT and Asia's largest flying car company, just signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Ras Al Khaimah. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi attended the signing.

Together, they will build an Advanced Air Mobility regulatory sandbox under the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority's oversight.

This deal makes ARIDGE the first Chinese flying car company to enter a national-level sandbox in the Middle East.

Even better, it creates the world's first flying car testing sandbox dedicated to personal low-altitude flight.

Next, ARIDGE will help plan a demonstration route connecting Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah.

RAKTA will lead the sandbox, so ARIDGE will test flights in desert conditions. Meanwhile, the route will cover airspace coordination, passenger handling, and safety management.

Additionally, ARIDGE recently dazzled guests at Emirates Palace with a live formation flight of its modular Land Aircraft Carrier.

Safety comes first. Pilots can override autonomous functions, and redundant systems respond to rotor failure in milliseconds.

Ultimately, ARIDGE wants to lay a safe foundation for commercial air mobility in the UAE. Sheikh Saud believes technology matters most when it improves people's lives.
