Big news just landed from MIHAS. Tanmiah Food Company, a leading Saudi poultry producer, signed an MoU with Tradewinds (M) Berhad, a Malaysian food company.
Together, they will cooperate on halal protein production, processing, branding, and distribution across Malaysia and APAC.
First, the partners will explore exporting Saudi-produced chicken to Malaysia, where demand runs strong. They may also invest jointly in a further-processing facility.
Moreover, they could make Malaysia a regional export hub. They will also assess farming, hatcheries, and poultry processing opportunities.
Zulfiqar Hamadani calls Malaysia a natural gateway to Asia-Pacific. Likewise, he says the deal supports Vision 2030's non-oil export goals.
Dennis Foo agrees. He highlights Malaysia's halal credentials and wants to reinforce its position as a leading halal hub.
Meanwhile, Tanmiah shared a booth with Tradewinds at MIHAS 2026. Visitors sampled its Frozen Breaded Chicken and Taste Secrets marinated range.
Both products won Product of the Year, Gulf Edition. Ultimately, the partners plan to build a global halal, sustainable, and healthy protein brand with dual halal certification.
