In a significant move towards the enhancement of urban living in Dammam, the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing (MOMAH) has initiated a transformative project that promises to redefine the King Fahd Suburb. Collaborating with Ashraq Development Company, the development arm of the Eastern Province Municipality, and the National Center for Privatization & PPP (NCP), the ministry proudly announces the launch of the Expression of Interest (EOI) phase for the King Fahd Suburb Boulevard Project. This ambitious Public-Private Partnership (PPP) initiative will follow a Design, Build, Finance, Operate, Maintain, and Transfer (DBFOMT) model, with a contract term that spans an impressive 30 years.
A Vision for Urban Excellence
Covering approximately 1,000,000 square meters, the King Fahd Suburb Boulevard Project is set to be developed in two carefully planned phases. Each phase will ensure a balanced allocation of development plots, green spaces, and critical infrastructure facilities. Central to this project is a 4 km integrated mixed-use zone that will run along a central boulevard and linear parklands, forming a vital part of a larger 7.3 km corridor. This strategic layout not only aims to optimize urban space but also aspires to create a unique urban experience for residents and visitors alike.
The private sector partner will play a crucial role in this endeavor, tasked with developing and operating a comprehensive mixed-use environment. This environment will encompass a variety of amenities, including leisure and recreational facilities, public parks, entertainment venues, retail outlets, office spaces, hospitality zones, pedestrian walkways, and road networks.
